Clothes as hair upon her head
Every minute, laughter shed
A new expression every day
Books and babies love to play

“I went poopy on the potty!”.
She’s corrected, “You went messy on the potty,” dear. That’s the nice way to say it.
“That’s the nerdy way to say it Grandma!!”
(I couldn’t have laughed harder)
My text tonight:
I was just telling Abby to change into her pajamas; she wasn’t happy so she starting crying…not a huge ordeal; tired from a long day. But…super funny…I handed her the pajama top, telling her to change into it…she stopped and said frankly, “one minute, I need to finish crying”. 🙂
Humor to ring in the New Year.
A Costco sack of chips for a petite plate of guac.
IPhones on the foreheads of friends. Goofy games.
And, yes, it’s -10 degrees while party attendees run barefoot round the house.
Adults scrapping for spoons. Scratches. Smiles.
A party glued to the giant TV for the drop of the ball…11:00…Happy New Year! (and goodnight)
Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend.
Inside of a dog it’s too hard to read.
Literally, our conversation went like this (verbatim)…
Abby: “Thank you, mama. Thank you for school.”
Mommy: “Thank you for being such a good girl.”
Abby: “…and so crazy!”
Mommy: “Thank you for being so smart.”
Abby: “…and so silly!”
Mommy: “Thank you for being so cute.”
A girl who normally falls asleep immediately.
To bed tonight, but, wait…not so fast.
To bed but not to sleep.
Soon I hear, “Quatro, Cinco,” “A,B,C,” “1,2,3”…and bunches of jibber jabber that could only be baby bedtime stories.
I smile and soon there is silence once again.
