He’s known to…She’s known to

She’s known to get on the computer periodically and turn on the music. ITunes.

Today that happened.

He’s known to ride in the cart at Pet Smart. He did that today.

They took his picture to post on Facebook 🙂

CATtitude

Two things.

CATS. Abby loves the cats in all of her books…any picture we see. They are all “kitty”. She says it well in a very sweet and gentle voice. So, she was shocked yesterday when we rounded the corner of the cat adoption area at PetSmart. If only I had that look on camera. She was truly excited.

ATTITUDE. That’s the other thing. I continually need to note the spunk that’s developing in this girl. She certainly “tells me what she wants”; she’s communicating right?

Today when I walked into daycare they were changing her diaper…the poor daycare teacher! As soon as Abby saw me it was all over! She started to scream, trying to pull her pants off over her shoes, thrashing. She wanted to get off of that table and no one was going to stop her, after all, when I come she knows it is time to go home. She loves going home just as much as she loves getting there; it’s all in the routine. We made it through diaper change by reading through her daily report card with her, keeping her attention on the paper and with me. Washing hands was equally as challenging. We all washed our hands together at that little sink, trying to make it fun…needless to say there was water all over. On the way out I had her walking and holding my hand. Suddenly holding my hand was not what she wanted so she dropped to the floor and gave us the mad face/crazy noise that she is so famous for. Perseverance got us to the car. The car was recognizable and fun to see; happy face. She can turn on that happy face and switch back to the pout as fast. Buckling her into the carseat is definitely one of those pouts. Learning the word “buckle” is seeming to work as a significant distraction; I just need to work my buckling magic fast enough to keep her looking for it. I wasn’t fast enough tonight.

Attitude still makes me laugh. Hopefully blogging a year from now I can still say that. Hopefully I will choose the right “mom” things to do as she grows.
