Elaine and John in town; passing through.
On their way to Arizona; one day before cold danger here.
Family together; tonight was terrific.
Cute colored cupcakes for the kid in all of us.
Humor to ring in the New Year.
A Costco sack of chips for a petite plate of guac.
IPhones on the foreheads of friends. Goofy games.
And, yes, it’s -10 degrees while party attendees run barefoot round the house.
Adults scrapping for spoons. Scratches. Smiles.
A party glued to the giant TV for the drop of the ball…11:00…Happy New Year! (and goodnight)
There are few things in life that generate an excitement from within.
Quivering with delight, Abby blew out her candles with eventual success.
Thanks Amy for capturing the video…priceless!
As far as I can tell, the translation for “Don Pablo” to English is Man Gift.
Let’s assume I’m right.
The gift of family. The gift of hard work. The gift of food (thanks Mike).
Family gathered tonight to celebrate the school accomplishments of Alice and Andy.
Their hard work is showing in their regular reports.
Congratulations!
First potty tonight! First potty in the potty chair.
She was sitting while the bath was running. She was reading her potty book as is routine.
We peered into the bowl. We clapped. We cheered. She has no idea why I’m sure.
She received her first reward sticker to decorate the potty chair; an Elmo sticker.
First potty. Likely 1 teaspoon.
Milestone: An action or event marking a significant stage in development
Our day was a celebration of milestones; two, in fact.
1 – Abby started her new swim class, Back Float Baby Level 3.
2 – Great Grandma Lois had a 99th birthday party in Mora, MN.
Milestones at each point in our lives are important to honor. Whether it’s big or little and whether no one else would look twice, celebrate each stage or change. Celebrate each little step or large breakthrough. Clap. Smile. Dance.
Abby ensures that I clap, smile, and dance; we are celebrating her milestones everyday. Today the fun was a new swimming experience and bringing joy to the aging in a nursing home.
From 1 to 99, many milestones. Each event to be a real red carpet experience.
