Piano, Pockets, Pizza, ‘Puter, no P

1 – Early during playtime the piano was played. This piano is pretend and not actually musical.

2 – Pockets are a favorite. Peeking in Papa’s and protecting her own.

3 – If only a picture during pizza! To prep, I peeled the toppings from crust for ease of eating. Next, something never seen…the sauce being smeared all over her face. Yes, deliberately and generously lathered as if it were lotion.

4 – Alas, no Pee Pee on the potty today, but headway happens as we practice.

5 – Perhaps a near perfect day. Perhaps a near perfect blog as entered on this new ‘puter. 🙂

Private Practice

I peeked.

I peeked around the corner of the staircase to follow Abby to her next place of play.

I found the most adorable thing. Abby was delicately pressing each button on her bell piano as if to practice for perfection.

She didn’t know I was watching. It is this privacy that seems to bring focus.

Monday when picking her up at daycare I walked in without her knowledge. There she sat, focused on her book; she flipped past each page so deliberately…in her mind a story was developing.

Abby’s intensity increases with privacy.

Musical Dreams

Mozart? Beethoven? Abby?

She’s a natural pianist, according to me. A toddler with the instinct to play with two hands. A toddler who dances to her own music. A toddler who selects these toys above all else.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for picking up Abby at daycare and playing her favorite games tonight.

She’s now sleeping peacefully having beautiful musical dreams.
