Sent home from school.
A doctor’s diagnosis.
A rash called ringworm.
A topical treatment.
Missed the 2nd Annual Winter Gala?
Posted as if you were there…
24 hours away.
24 hours to play.
Came home sick yesterday.
I guess I should be glad that when she threw up it was at daycare; if she needed to get sick at all.
We practiced how to use the “vomit-bucket” but wellness returned.
Happy to see it.
Banned from daycare for 24 hours, Abby was able to spend today with Grandma…keeping her busy morning to night.
Reading, babies, puzzles, painting…wearing Grandpa’s t-shirt!
Back to school tomorrow.
School pictures arrived.
Abby, loving her teacher, asked for a photo.
Today in her cubby, a special envelope.
She opened it with pride, not letting it go. The gift she’d requested.
We’d hang it on the refrigerator, I said, where the other prize pictures are presented.
Disagreeing, she immediately responded with a desire to decorate her door.
Art added. Now posted.
School’s Halloween party tonight.
Proud to be a cupcake.
Walking in timid, never truly breaking that shell.
Quiet for the night but showing the Abby energy during the cake walk.
Suddenly the gorilla. A flinch, a jerk, a cry.
Peering around the room to always keep the scare in sight.
Halloween #1 ended.
Video:
The pre-school conference.
A validation. A learning. A chance to be proud.
Validating her love of art and babies and books.
Validating her independence.
Learning the skills that will continue to grow.
And, so proud when shown her favorite puzzle.
(yes, I took a picture of the puzzle during the conference…how sweet)
